Dear Sister & folks,
Just a line to tell you I am fine and getting farther away from home. How is everyone down there & have you seen Dad lately ?
We moved down to Kitchener yesterday (Oct 3). I like the army fine so far and just came from the show in the canteen. Was up town today looking the place over. It isn’t a bad sort of a joint but I still like Dresden best. We will be at Kitchener for about two months, they tell us.
I will try and get home two weeks from today, if I can, but can never tell till the time comes. We can only get two weekend passes in the two months we will be here. Don’t forget how to make those chocolate cakes before I get home again.
Well, I’ve already wrote one letter and have got to write another one so will have to close as it will soon be lights out. Will be seeing you as soon as I can and don’t forget to write.
Love, Allan
