Dear Sister:
I received your most welcome letter today at noon and I thought I had better set right down and answer it. The last couple of days down here we have been having some pretty nice weather.
Well I just met one of the boys from Wabash about half an hour ago. He just moved in this afternoon – Les. Burell by name. I don’t think you knowed him.
I was out on the ranges for the final test the other day and I made the grade. We were also out on a 12 mile route march the other day, (Tues) the longest we have had yet.
Well, I’m glad to hear you have got all the beets out. I wish I were down there right now for the shower tonight.
Well, there is a Bingo game starting in the Canteen now so will close for this time. Hoping to see you and hear from you soon.
Love, Allan
P.S. Cut an extra piece of pork for me and thanks for the clipping of the wedding.
