Dear Sister:
Just a few lines to let you know that I got back safely Sun. night about 10:15. I got a ride right through from Thamesville to London and I had two rides between London and Kitchener. I got one day’s pay taken off and six days C. B. (confined to barracks). I just got through slicing bacon for breakfast tomorrow morning. I am not alone though for there are about 25 other guys on pack drill with me.
Well, the report is now that we aren’t leaving here until next Wed. We are having our platoon competition tomorrow and they have got it cut down to 2 platoons now – ours and one from “B Coy”. So, I will have to write and let you know how we get along.
Well, I will close for now. Write soon.
Love, Allan
