Dear Sister:
How is everyone down that way ? I am getting along just fine. Has Clarence been doing any more duck hunting yet ?
They got us up at quarter to four yesterday morning to go for a nice little five mile hike before breakfast. And you can bet that they didn’t have much left for dinner when we got through breakfast. But they gave us the afternoon off and I was up as far as London for a while in the afternoon. We drew lots for to see who got off this weekend, this morning, and I won’t be home until next week.
I got a letter from Ila Smith the other day and she said she saw you as you were out home the other night. How is Dad getting along ?
The Governor General is supposed to be in camp next Wednesday, so that will be a big day around here.
Well, I suppose the men are getting pretty well on with the fall work. How is Olive and Helen getting along ?
We are having a large inspection tomorrow so I guess I better close and get back to shining buttons before the lights go out. Hoping to hear from you soon and also see you.
Your Loving Brother, Allan
