Dear Sister:
Just a few lines to find out how you are getting on. Have you got the beets all finished yet ? I am getting along just fine here – still got my cold though. Well, we had our first snow down here today. Have you had any up that way yet ?
I just came from a Bingo game in the Canteen. I never won anything though as is generally my luck. I was kind of surprised to find the letter when I got back here. How is Helen getting along ? Tell her to not to forget and write again.
Well it is almost bed time and I have got to go on the rifle ranges in the morning so I guess I had better get some sleep. And don’t you forget my address either.
Love, Allan
