The Second World War began in September of 1939 and ended in 1945. The war covered territories of Europe, Pacific, Atlantic, South- East Asia, China, Middle East, and Africa. The major leaders of the Allies were Winston Churchill, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Joseph Stalin. The major leaders of the Axis were Adolf Hitler, Emperor Hirohito, and Benito Mussolini. Nearly 62 million people died during and leading up to the WW2 conflicts.
