Born 1920 at Chatham, ON. The son of Nelson and Marion (nee Winters) Yott. The brother of Doreen (Winters), Verlyn (Martin), Shirley (Barnwell) Paul, Lawrence, Almeda (Brown), Joseph and Louis. He was living at R.R.#4 Thamesville, ON. The husband of Jean (nee Stewart).
It was reported in the Ridgetown newspaper in Dec. 1943 that ‘smokes’ were sent to this soldier. RIN 5/12/17 The CDN 13/09/43(P) reported that he enlisted in April 1942. A former member of the Second Kents before going overseas in 1943.
Edward was discharged from service date not known.
After the war Edward worked at Beaver Lumber.
Edward passed away 13 January 1991 at the age of 70 years old.
