Pte. John Wyatt went as far as Quebec with the 33rd Battalion, but was there discharged, owing to snow-blindness. He was later turned down from the 186th Battalion, but was accepted with the 135th Battalion, going overseas in the summer of 1916. He was shortly transferred to the 4th Canadian Battalion, France, later received shrapnel wounds, but returned to France with the 1st Labor Battalion.
