Pte. Virgil Woofenden landed in England August 23rd, 1917, and was drafted into the 75th Forestry Company proceeding to France about the middle of September, 1917. He was stationed near Soissons until April 11th 1918 when the Germans made a big drive in their direction and they were moved to a place near Froyes where they stayed until the end of the war. He left France Jan 12th 1919 and was sent to Rhyl awaiting passage to Canada, he left England Feb 15th and arrived at Halifax Feb 23rd.

Discharged at London March 27th 1919 due to demobilization.
