Private Ross Woofenden went overseas August 23rd, 1917, and was drafted into the 125th Forestry Company, doing forestry work at Woburn Sands, and later serving in the office of the mill. In Sept 1918 he was sent to Brokenhurst in the New Forest and from there to Tisbury in Wilts, for a month returning to Brokenhurst, he retained his position in the office of the mill until he was returned to Canada June 3rd 1919.

Discharged at Quebec June 11th 1919 due to demobilization.
