The son on Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wood of  257 Forest St., Chatham, ON. Sgt.(P) Wood R197003 was stationed at RCAF-Uplands, Ottawa in 1944 when he was home on a fourteen day furlough with his parents. CDN 22/02/44.

Sgt.(P) Wood R197003 was stationed at RCAF-Uplands, Ottawa in 1944 when he was home on a fourteen day furlough with his parents. CDN 22/02/44.  The CDN 6/04/44 reported that Jack was spending the weekend with his parents and his brother Mervin RCNVR. Sgt. Pilot Jack would be returning to Lachine, PQ. 

Sgt. Pilot Wood was reported serving overseas in a CDN article [23/05/44] along side his brother Melvin G. who was serving in the RCNVR as a Writer. Reported returning from overseas duty aboard the S. S. Ile De France, expected to arrive in Halifax 2/10/1945 (CDN 29/09/45. Copy of 13/06/2001.
