Pte. He enlisted in August of 1940 with the Essex Scottish. He was on the Dieppe Raid and was reported KIA. However a letter received from him saying he was in fact a POW in Germany. Word had been received by Alfred Satchell of Thamesville.
Prior to his enlistment he was employed at Dover Brick and Tile Yard. CDN 8/06/43(P).
