Stationed in Newfoundland in January of 1944 was on three weeks furlough to visit friends in Turin. At the conclusion she was to return to duty stationed at RCAF St. Thomas, ON. CDN 6/01/44, TUC-RH.  Wilson was home again in March 1944 then at RCAF-St.Thomas on a weekend pass to visit relatives in the Turin area and her sister Mrs. Bill Towsley of Howard Twsp. before returning to he duties. CDN 10/03/44
