Alec Pattison of Dresden, reported that Les Babcock, Jim Bedell, Charlie Breaton, Harry Kyle, Gordon Tricker, Lewis Wilmott and Clifford Whitson had somehow gotten together for a Dresden Boys “Get Together” in Italy in February 1944.
Reported returning from overseas aboard the S. S. New Amsterdam CDN 25/09/45. It was reported that Sgt. Lewis Wilmott was commissioned a Lieutenant in the promotions list 29 January, 1945. CDN 29/01/45. {(P) Dresden}.
Discharged November 9, 1945
Served in Italy, Sicily, England and North West Europe.
After return from active service Lieutenant Wilmott joined Kent Regiment (R) where he attained Captains Rank before retiring from Regiment in August 1955.
