Dr. Willard (Dentist) enlisted in 1941 and served until 1945. The father of John, Jane and Robert.

According to Find-A-Grave he was born in Chatham-Kent on the 28th of June, 1908 and died in Chatham-Kent on the 18th of January, 2002. However, I viewed Dr. Willard’s birth record and he was born in St Mary’s ON on the 23rd of June, 1909.  His parents were Edward Willard and the former Irma Evelyn Agnew.  According to the 1911 census, Dr. Willard lived on Clyde Street in Norwich, Ontario with his parents Edward and “Lena” Willard.  There were no children listed as siblings and his father’s occupation was listed as a music teacher.  According to the 1921 census, the Willard family resided at 21 Thomas Street in St Catharines.  Dr. Willard was listed as an only child and his father’s occupation was listed as a music director.
Dr. Willard was married to Margaret McDowell (daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Austin McDowell of Shawville, Quebec) on the 4th of August, 1939 in Ottawa. At the time of his marriage, Dr. Willard resided in Larder Lake, Quebec.
Ancestry has WWI records but not WWII records, so I suspect that he served in WWII.  On Find-A-Grave it mentioned that Dr. Willard was a dentist in Chatham for many years.  The above was searched by A. Fisher.
