History After Enlistment… Served in Canada five and a half years. Promoted to the rank of Captain and was awarded the C.V.S.M.

It was reported in the CDN 29/12/42 that after spending the Christmas holiday at home with his wife and small daughters on 185 Park Ave., West, Chatham. Tom was returning to Three Rivers, PQ to complete his course.   Contact: Bob Wilcox. IODE-IS.

The CDN 13/04/43 reported he had received his certificate as a Lieutenant from the Canadian Army Officers’ Training Centre at Brockville, ON. The CDN 4/05/43 (P) reported that Lieut. Wlcox had been promoted to the rank of full Lieut attached to the Essex Scottish. He was stationed at Camp Ipperwash, ON.

Date of Discharge… January 23rd 1946

The CDN 11/11/16 listed Lt. Col. Thomas W. Wilcox – “Beloved father and Grandfather of Linda (Tyler) and family, Judith (Young) and family , Marilyn (Mann) and Family.
