Ralph was from R. R. # 2 Wheatley, Kent Co., ON.  He was the son of Lawson and Emily Wharram of Romney Twsp., Kent Co., ON. Ralph was the brother of Flt. Lieut. Charles and LAC George; other siblings Florence, Narion, Robert, Mrs. Frank Marwood of Wakaw Sask., Mrs. Don Hickson, Frank and Hazel. Ralph was reported training in Toronto, ON in November of 1943. Reported returning from overseas duty aboard the S. S. Ile De France, expected to arrive in Halifax 2/10/1945 (CDN 29/09/45. Copy of 13/06/2001.
