on of Mr. and Mrs. William Weston of Ridgetown, ON. Enlisted in January of 1940 at London, ON., transferred to Toronto, ON. James went overseas in May of 1940, arriving in Aldershot, England for additional training he served in the UK., until June of 1943 when he was transferred to Sicily where he saw “plenty of action”. James also served in Italy before being transferred to the French / Belgium front before being returned to England. He was reported to be on leave in Ridgetown with his wife and son Bill at their Erie St. home. CDN 7/05/45. James was discharged from the army in July of 1945. CDN 25/07/45.
