Private Wells transferred from the 70th to the 33rd battalion, going overseas Mar. 11, 1916.
After training at St. Martin’s Plains he proceeded to France May 24, drafted to the 7th British Columbia Battalion.
He entered the trenches in Flanders June 8, 1916, going from there to the Somme, where he was killed in action Sept. 24.
