The 2nd son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Weldon of 41 Park Ave. East., Chatham, ON. The brother of Wren Rosemary stationed in Nova Scotia.
He enlisted in 1940 training in London, ON. and going overseas in December of 1941. The CDN 15/05/43 reported he was overseas with the RCOC and had been promoted a Sergeant. After training in England he was sent to Sicily and later to Italy where he was serving in 1945 with the 1st Canadian Infantry Division. It was reported in the CDN 26/06/44(P) had been promoted to Quartermaster Segt.; he was 29 years old.
