Private J.A.Weldon trained at Camp Hughes, was promoted to Lance Corporal, and went overseas October 22nd, 1916. He was stationed at Seaford, entered the Cadet School, and crossed to France as Lieutenant in June 1917 with the 78th Battalion. He served as Scout Officer, and in March 1918, won the Military Cross:

June 1919.
