Private Webster trained in London, and Toronto with Cyclists going overseas in May 1916.

Embarked at Halifax NS. 16/05/16 aboard the S.S. Baltic 29/05/16. Disembarked : Liverpool, England. 30/05/16. TOS. At Chiseldon 11/05/16,    He arrived in England June 1, 1916 training there until admitted to the 14th Canadian General Hospital, Eastbourne, England, where his death occurred Nov. 19, 1917.

Joined the 4th Divisional Cyclists Depot. He was hospitalized 26/05/17 at the Military Hospital at Chrisledon for Tonsillitus, discharged 2/05/17. His date of service in England as 29/05/16.

Gordon was in and out of Hospital 2/09/17 he wasadmited to 2nd East General Hospital for Gall Blader issues. He was taken in at Brighton for VDG. He died 19/11/17 at 11:30 a.m. at East General – Brighton 19/11/17. It was noted that his VDG and the Gall Bladder was the cause of his death 

His mother was in his will. She also received the Memorial Cross # 755118, and Scroll 21/05/1920and the Paaque 10/11/21 aka: “the Death Penny”.
