Born 20/04/15 in Chatham Twsp., Kent Co. ON. The son of William and Lillian Weaver of R. R. #6 Dresden, ON. Married Edith Olive (nee Smith) a ‘war bride’, with whom they had ten children, Michel, Robert, Bruce, Patrica, Betty, Bill, Evan, Brian, Timothy, and Stephen.

Winston enlisted 9/03/1942 and served as a Signalman in the 3rd Division, R.C.C.O.S. during WWII. In July of 1942 Winston was reported landing in England with the RCE to continue his military studies. CDN 20/7/42 He served in England, Holland and Germany. Discharged from the service 15/11/1945.

After returning from overseas Winston farmed until 1978 but remained involved in the farming community receiving the KFA Meritorious Award and was installed in the Kent Agriculture “Hall of Fame”. He was an avid sailor of the “Wood Duck” and created a wide variety of wood crafts and Furniture.

Winston passed away 14 March, 2013 at The Village in Ridgetown.
