Served in England, Wales, France, Belgium and Holland.

Arrived from overseas on S. S. “Louis Pasteur” CDN 1/09/45.

Discharged April 1947.

While he was stationed in England, Alva met his future wife Helen (nee Robertson). Helen arrived in Canada in 1950 and Alva and Helen were married 9 Nov. 1954. 

Alva passed away 9 May, 1992 (his wife Helen passed away 4/09/17).
