Sergeant Warren Smith enlisted at Camp Sherman, Ohio, September 21st, 1917, in the 324th.  F. A., Battery F.; transferred to the 106th. Ordnance Depot Company, Camp Jackson, S. C. in February  1917; transferred to Ordnance Replacement Camp, Camp Hancock, Ga. In August 1918, and transferred with the September Replacement Camp (White) to camp Merritt, N. J. overseas duty. he was taken ill with Influenza, transferred to the 518th. Casualty Company, started for France and was aboard when the Armistice was signed and therefore recalled.

Sergeant Warren Smith received his discharge at Camp Sherman, Ohio, January 1st, 1919, due to demobilisation.
