The son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Fisher of Dufferin Ave., Wallaceburg. John was reported in the WN 8/01/42 being home on a New Years leave from Sussex NB. John was home from Sussex NB. for a few days of special leave. WN 16/07/42

He was welcomed home by the special welcoming committee chaired by Ted Carter, Canadian Legion, the war Services committee of the Dominion Glass Company. WN 25/01/46
