Born 27/05/1923 at Dresden, ON., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ward.

David enlisted in the RCAF 10/06/1942 at the age of 19 years. The DT 6/05/43 and CDN 4/06/43, reported that LAC Ward was spending a weekend with his father. In June of 1943 David was training at the RCAF radio school in Hamilton, ON. TT24/06/43.

The DT 6/01/44 reported that PO). Ward was stationed at RCAF-Dunnville was home for New Years.  David was stationed at RCAF- Dunnville in June 1944 he was promoted from Flying Officer to Pilot Officer.  DT 15/06/44. While visiting his home in December 1944 he was suddenly recalled to his base at RACF- Trenton. DT 14/12/4 

He served until being discharged in 1945.  He would rejoin the RCAF serving in the Korean War as a flying instructor.

In January of 1944 he was on a week-end pass in Dresden from RCAF Dunnville. CDN 4/01/44.

In 1980 David was living in Brampton, ON. at 9 Castlemore Dr.
