 Regimental number: 3130811. Reference: RG 150, Accession 1992-93/166, Box: 10025-32, Item: 296740, PDF: B10025-SO32. Living at 168 Wellington St. East., Chatham, ON., home of his sister Melinada Robinson. She was assigned $15.00 / mth. For Separation and Assigned pay. William was single. MSA 721690 AC. Medical at Windsor, ON 23/10/17 – A-2, age 34 years, 5’9 ½”, complexion: Black, Eyes: Brown, Hair: Black, Vision: 30/20.

Attestation: 15/01/18 at London, ON.    

It was reported that William was admitted to the Military Hospital, London, ON. 8/02/18 for treatment for VDG. Treated with ‘Routine’ and was reported cured. 

Private William Walker went overseas in June 1918.

He embarked in Canada 10/07/18 and disembarked in England 22/07/18

2/04/18 William suffered an injury to his left knee and ankle he was “unable to walk properly” 

Arrived in England 22/09/18. TOS with 56th District 26/09/18 Overseas to France 11/10/18, age 35 years. Transferred to 8 Coy. CFC. He was admitted to Padding Military Hospital !7/04/19 at Harrow, 2/0519 transferred to Convolescent Hospital at Walcotte  – Epson and discharged 19/05/19 for VDG.

1/04/19 SOS. Demobilization. 31/05/19 SOS Base Depot – Sunningdale. 3/07/19 SOS to Canada. He was cleared for VDG and had received a laceration to his right Eye.

William was discharged from the Army 1/07/1919 at London, ON to Chatham living with his sister 

William Walker passed away 23 October, 1963 at Westminister hospital, London, ON
