Private William Turner served in England with the regular regiment.

Private William Turner transferred from the 91st. to the 70th. Battalion in April 1916, going overseas April 21st, 1916, and proceeding to France in June 1916, draft to the 18th. Battalion. He received promotion to Corporal on the field. In March 1918 he suffered with trench fever, was returned to England for hospital treatment and upon recovery was Acting Drill Sergeant at Bramshott camp.
