The son of Mrs. Ella Turner of 49 Sandy’s St., Chatham, ON. Joseph married while in England but sadly his wife and child died during child birth in February of 1943.

Joseph enlisted in London, ON . in 1941 he had been overseas for more than three years and had been in considerable action in France when he was officially reported as being wounded in action 17/09/1944. Gnr. Turner was reported returned from overseas in the CDN 5/02/46(P) aboard the ship Aquitania.  The notice of his being wounded  was confirmed but the nature and extent of his wounds were not available as reported in the CDN 1/10/44 

Joseph passed away in 9 July, 2001.
