Private Ernest H. Turner left for overseas with the 70th. Battalion April 21st, 1916, training with the 39th. Reserve Battalion, Bramshott, until June 1916, when he proceeded to France drafted to the 18th. Battalion. he was admitted to hospital January 9th, 1917. He was wounded accidentally in the right shoulder and after four weeks hospital treatment returned to duty serving on the 4th. Division Train. Where he remained until he returned to England May 9th, 1919, Left for Canada June 6th, 1919.
Discharged at Toronto June 17th 1919 due to demobilisation.
