The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Turner of Mull, ON. Brother of Nelson Turner of Blenheim, ON. Prior to his enlistment Pte. Turner was employed by Harry Knights in Mull. Married to Elma (nee Puttock), a son Nelson.
David enlisted in 1943 and went overseas that same year. He went to France after D-Day and had been in the fighting ever since. David was 21 year old when reported WIA. The message received states that “His wounds consist of bomb fragments in the right chest and shoulder and the thigh” Was reported wounded in action. CDN 25/11/44 and 16/01/45. David was serving in the Algonquin Regt. on “the western Battlefront”. CDN 16/12/44
