Born 13/07/1928 in Chatham, ON. the son of Lorne Harry and Florence Agnes (nee Warwick)Tuck of Cornhill St., Chatham. He attended public school in Chatham and the University of Windsor.
Murray enlisted in London, ON. 1/11/45 for service in #38 Guard Training Co. He served in Port Arthur, North Bay #10 Internment Camp, Fingal, and England.
Murray’s wife writes:- Served wartime service with the Veterans Guard of Canada as a guard for German Prisioners of War camps. Post war with the Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
After leaving the Army Murray was the manager of Warwick Lumber Co., in Grande Pointe, ON. He was a Baliff with the Ontario Courts of Justice. Retired in 1993. Murray was a licensed commercial pilot, glider pilot and parachutist.He served on the Dover Twsp. Council for three years. President of the Regional Development Council 1 year. Member of the Kent Club, Dover Rod and Gun Club, Br. 28 Royal Canadian Legion. His boat “The Friar Tuck” was well known on Lake Erie.
