The son of Mr. and  Mrs. Charles Austin of Ellwood Avenue, Chatham, ON. The husband of Helen Barbara (nee Abraham. Albert enlisted in 1940, he graduated the following year from the RCAF School of Photography at Ottawa. From there he went to Dunnville and Sydney NS.  

LAC Trotter arrived in Chatham from Sydney NS. to start a two week furlough with his family CDN 8/07/42 It was reported in the CDN 3/10/42 that LAC Trotter was to marry Helen Barbara Abraham  at the Knox United Church in Sydney NS. After the wedding the couple honeymooned at Lake Bras d’Or. The couple had taken an apartment in Glace Bay, NS. (CDN 29/09/42)

Previous Military Experience… Trained with the 2nd Kent Regiment.

History After Enlistment… Trained at Ottawa, Dunnville, Sidney N.S. and overseas to England. Served from Air Force Headquarters. at London, England.  The CDN 11/12/43(P) reported he had arrived overseas.

Arrived in Quebec City on 9 September, 1945 aboard the S. S. Empress of Scotland. CDN 5/09/45.

Date of Discharge… October 15th 1945
