Of Chatham, ON. He had seen service in France in 1940 and Sicily and Italy and had been awarded the 1939 – 1943 Star.
While he was serving in Italy with the RCR he attended a “Smoker” put on in the Apennine mountains which included a supper, an Italian orchestra and a concert by platoon artist. Also in attendance was Pte. J.H. “Jack” Biddell also from Chatham.
Was honoured by the parish church of the Immaculate Conception in Pain Court along with Sgt. Edward Caron and Pte. Clement Couture. The men received a pen and pencil set. CDN 18/01/45.
