Born 31/05/1919 in Chatham Twsp. the son of Mark and Alice (Kendall) Tiffin of Thorncliffe, ON.

Arthur enlisted with the RCR in London, ON. 20/11/1941.He went overseas as a stretcher bearer. He first saw combat during Operation Husky, the invasion of Sicily.  It was while serving with the RCR he was wounded in Italy. A piece of shrapnel from a German shell struck him in the chest during action at Monte Ridge.

Arthur arrived home in Chatham 16 June, 1944, met at the train station by his sister and friend to welcome him home. CDN16/06/44.

The father of Carolyn (Pirak). Carl passed away 23 March, 2012 at CKHA  – Sydenham Campus, Wallaceburg, ON. and was buried in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery , Thamesville.
