Married with two little daughters residing at 140 Thames St., Chatham, ON. Cpl. Tierney had been overseas for three years, serving the whole time in England with the RCEME

He was working in Toronto before he enlisted in May of 1942. He went overseas in December of 1942.

The CDN 15/12/45 reported that Cpl. T. C. Tierney returned to Canada aboard the troop ship “Maurentania”.
