The brother of Patrick J. [Pte. A3760 – RCR] Lonnie, Jerry, Virginia, Rilla, Beverly and Shirley. Married Irma (nee Roegiest) and they had three children, Michael, Patricia and Jerry.

Wilfred was determined to “join-up’ he tried to enlist in Windsor, ON. but the recruiters took him aside and his father had to drive to Windsor to pick up his son. He would later enlist when he was old enough.

Mike served on Sioux which was involved in the D-Day landing 6 June, 1944.
