The son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thompson. Lyle and his wife Evelyn Eileen (nee Gillette) and their son Ronald ‘Ronnie’ arrived from Charlottetown, PEI.

The CDN 25/10/43 reported that Lyle had returned to RCAF-Centralia after a week-end leave with his wife at their Lowe St. home.    The CDN (date unknown) reported he was returning to Centralia after five days with his wife on Lowe St.  Lyle was in Chatham to spend Christmas at their parents. CDN 6/12/44.  They were reported returning to PEI in the CDN 28/12/44.

History After Enlistment… Trained at Centralia. Served at Charlottetown, PEI and in British Columbia, in the control tower service. Promoted to Corporal.
