Born 25 January, 1921 in Wallaceburg, ON. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Orval Terryn. George and his family moved to Detroit, Michigan when George was 10 years old.

George enlisted in the army at Detroit. George served in Italy.

KIA 14/11/1944 While serving in Italy in the US Army, he was killed by a German mortar shell while he was manning a anti-tank gun emplacement. He was buried in a US military cemetery in Northern Italy.
