The husband of Kethleen Vera (nee Horne) [war bride] the daughter of Maurice and Ivy Jane (nee Clarke). Kathleen was born in England, 7 Sept. 1920. She married George and departed Liverpool, England aboard the S. S. Maurentania II, arriving in Halifax 14 Dec., 1944. Sgt. Taylor was reported returned from overseas duty. CDN 11/06/45.
The family located at Park Lane in Chatham and had three children, Jill ((Timmermans), David and Reg. CDN 25/05/16. The father of Jill (Timmermans), David and Reg. CDN-Obit 25/05/16 wife.
George passed away 21/11/1987.
Previous Military Experience… None
History After Enlistment… Trained in Canada two weeks and went directly overseas. Served on four fronts, Rimini-Dieppe-Ortona and Cassina, Italy, France and Belgium, Holland and Germany, also Sicily and Africa. Was hospitalized in England two months and in Italy four months for injuries. Promoted to the rank of Sergeant and received the usual decorations- all the ribbons and nine medal out of a possible eleven- and two certificates from the King. Served with the 1st Div. Army Supply Corps and later moved to Canadian General Hospital R.C.A.M.C.

George passed away 21 Nov. 1987.
