The CDN 1/04/43 reported that F/O. Taylor had returned to Winnipeg after a week’s leave spent with his wife on the River Road, Raleigh Twsp., Kent Co. Flight Lieut. Taylor and his wife and daughter Carol returned to Winnipeg after spending it with their parents.

Harold’s wife writes: “Harold was born in Detroit of Canadian parents. They returned to Canada when Harold was 7 years. He declared Canadian citizenship when becoming 23 years. 1940, took basic training in St. Thomas – posted to Wireless School in Montreal. 1942, commissioned and posted to Saskatoon, Sask. Then in 1943, posted to Winnipeg and RCAF Construction Unit and finally to the RCAF Western Command Headquarters also in Winnipeg – basically he was ‘Pay Master’.”
