Harold was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 20, 1912 and passed away in 1978.  His next of kin was his wife Gwen Taylor.  Harold enlisted in Windsor, Ontario and his address at enlistment was Prince Arthur Avenue, Chatham, Ontario.

Married, he and his wife were home from Saskatoon to spend Christmas with his wife’s parents.

The CDN 1/04/43 reported that F/O. Taylor had returned to Winnipeg after a week’s leave spent with his wife on the River Road, Raleigh Twsp., Kent Co. Flight Lieut. Taylor and his wife and daughter Carol returned to Winnipeg after spending it with their parents.

Harold’s wife writes:  “Harold was born in Detroit of Canadian parents.  They returned to Canada when Harold was 7 years.  He declared Canadian citizenship when becoming 23 years.  1940, took basic training in St. Thomas – posted to Wireless School in Montreal.  1942, commissioned and posted to Saskatoon, Sask.  Then in 1943, posted to Winnipeg and RCAF Construction Unit and finally to the RCAF Western Command Headquarters also in Winnipeg – basically he was ‘Pay Master’.”
