Private John Robert Albert Swainston went overseas with the 186th. Battalion March 28th, 1917. After two months training at Bramshott Camp he was transferred to the Forestry Battalion, Sunnigdale Camp, proceeding to France in May, 1917, attached to the 44th. Company, NO.1 District, Central Group, Canadian Forestry Corps. He was admitted to the R.V.H. Hospital, Netley, England.
