Son of Mr. T. C. and Regina M. Sullivan brother of Harry R220901 and Francis W313934 of the RCAF., of St. Clair Str., Chatham, ON. Attended Blessed Sacrament school and Chatham Collegiate Institute.

Robert enlisted in April 1941 with the Canadian Army Ordnance Corps, training in London  Edmonton, St. Thomas and Aylmer. 

Appears on the “Muster Roll” of the 2nd Bn., Kent Regiment (MG), N.P.A.N. (date unknown) 

Previous Military Experience… Trained with the 2nd Kent Regiment.

Robert remustered  into the RCAF, he was attached to the 419th Squadron in England. Promoted to Flying Officer. He trained at Edmonton, St. Thomas and Alymer; graduating as a flight engineer in September of 1944. He would go overseas in December of that year doing a couple of operational flights before VE-Day. CDN 10/01/45(P).

F/O Sullivan was honourably discharged in Sept of 1945 in Toronto.

Date of Discharge… September 10th 1945

The CDN 3/12/45(P) reported that Robert Cleary Sullivan married Ellen Genevieve Campbell the daughter of Robert Campbell of Dresden.
