Resident Thamesville

Reference:  RG 150, Accession 1992-93/166, Box 9305-54; Item No. 252025. Born 14/06/1893 at Thamesville, ON.    Born 14/06/1893 at Thamesville, ON. the son Dr. Samuel and Margaret (nee McFarlane) Stewart. the third of five children. Daniel was educated at the Thamesville Public School and had one year at the University of Toronto, he would graduate M.D from the University of Western Ontario in 1916.

Daniel enlisted 10/09/1916, as the medical officer of the 256th Canadian Railway Construction Battalion as a Captain and served with that unit until the end of the war.

Returning to Thamesville in 1919 he went into practice with his father. Dr. Daniel Stewart married Caroline (nee Wesley) and they had two children, Donald and Carolyn. He passed away 20/08/1940 internment in the Sherman Cemetery, Thamesville.
