The CDN 7/09/43 reported that he left Toronto for Halifax to take up duties on the staff of the Royal Naval Hospital in that city.
The CDN 1/04/44 reported Surgeon Lieut. had arrived from Halifax to spend a few days with his parents in Chatham.
It was reported that Charles was doing post graduate work in “Tropical Medicine” at McGill University was spending the day with his parents. He was then leaving for South America to continue his work in Tropical Medicine there. CDN 27/11/44.
The CDN 7/10/44 reported that Sur-Lieut. Stewart was doing post graduate work in tropical medicine at McGill University in Montreal PQ. He was spending Thanksgiving with his parents.
The CDN 28/03/45 reported that Surg.-Lieut Stewart had returned to Chatham after he spent a winter in South America and the British West Indies studying tropical medicine for the Navy. He was on leave at his parents.
Reported to have returned to Halifax after being on leave to his parent’s home. Charles was a consultant at the Naval Hospital in Halifax. CDN 16/08/45(P).
