Apparent Age: 18 yrs. 9 mths., Height: 5’ 8”, Girth 36”, Complexion: Fair, Eyes: Brown, Hair: Brown. Medical: 12/01/1815 at Medicine at, Alberta, “Fit”. He grew up in Chatham he was living at 385 King St. West, Chatham, ON. His father had some connection wit the Canadian Flour Mill in Chatham? 

Howard went overseas, from Montreal, departed aboard the S. S. Magatic.

He was hospitalized at the 2nd Military Hospital at “S-Cliffe for VDS 2/09/15. He was transferred to Tent. Hospital St. Martins for treatment for Syphilis.

He was reported in France 22/12/15.    

Howard was reported to have been taken as a POW 2 – 5 June 1915 his unit reported he was MIA on or about 18/06/16, during the battle of Sanctuary Wood. He was officially a POW 16/06/15, at Dulman. He had been listed as ‘Missing’ 5/06/16 to 20/06/16. He wound be transferred to many locations Mimdin, Munster, Fredrichsfield. It was while at Fredrichsfeld that he contacted the ‘Spanish Flu’ where he died.    

Also stated that he fell victim to the Spanish flu which resulted in his death. CDP 11/12/18.
