Private John Charles Steen trained a short time at London, Ontario, when he was admitted to hospital through illness.

Attestation: 11/06/18 at London, ON. to 1st Batt. – WOR. TOS: 12/06/18 MEDICALLY UNFIT.

Due to Pneumonia 20/06/28. Treatment for pneumonia at London Military Hospital to 14/08/18 and after 56 day was transferred to Guelph Convalescence Hospital 14/08/18 to 17/09/18 “Discharged being Medically Unfit for further service although fit for employment in civil life 

14/08/18 to 5/09/18 still had a cough. He was paid $97.80 and no charge for his kit.

Private John Charles Steen received his discharge September 17th, 1918, being medically unfit for military service.
