Born in Dresden, ON. the son of Mr.and Mrs. Robert Steele of Camden Twsp., Kent Co. ON., he had three brothers and one sister.   

Enlisted with the Essex Scottish in 1942 and transferred to the “Loyal Eddies” serving in Italy and Switzerland.

KIA – Date of Death: 23/05/1944, in Italy.
