Walter enlisted in 1941 and was discharged in June 1945.

Previous Military Experience… None

History After Enlistment… Trained at St. Thomas and Saskatoon and went overseas in May 1942. Stationed in England for ten months as a member of the ground crew of the famous Demon Squadron on the R.C.A.F. serving as an aircraft mechanic. In June 1943 he was sent to Ceylon and served there a year and a half.

The CDN 13/11/45(P) reported that Walter married Ann Marie (nee Prohaska) of Fletcher, ON. at St. Andrews United Church, Chatham and made their home at 51 Berry St., Chatham.

Date of Discharge…  June 19th 1945

Walter passed away 20 August, 2002.
